Our Staff

Our staff members are all compassionate loving people who adore children, all staff members are 18 years or older, CPR & First Aid certified, we complete on-going training on a monthly basis some are even CDA certified & MAT certified as well. All staff members are required to complete a thorough background check from the New York State Office of Children & Family Services. Each staff member has prior work history and personal experience which provides us with valuable knowledge about the learning process for children.

Melissa Cahill – Founder / Owner of Pop-N-Play, Kiddie Kingdom and Just Kidding Around Daycares 

(since April 1998) – Melissa has been in the childcare field for over 23 years.  Her passion for childcare was  the very inspiration behind her obtaining an Associates in Child Development (CDA).  As a mother of two boys in their teens, Melissa has experienced the joy of raising children from infants to young adults.

” I decided to open a group family daycare to provide parents in the Mastic Beach area with a safe, clean and quality place to care for their children.  There were no quality daycares around this area that I call my home.  I couldn’t stand the thought that there wasn’t anywhere I felt comfortable leaving my children.”
